As a conference attendee, you have to arrange for and pay for your own accommodation. Amsterdam has nearly 350 hotels, ranging from budget hotels and youth hostels to 5-star luxury. Please notice that you're just one of many people looking for a place to stay in Amsterdam: book your accommodation at your earliest convenience. On this page we provide information that will help you to select and book a hotel that suits your needs and budget.
Booking.com: recommended hotel reservation site
We recommend booking a hotel close to the conference venue via booking.com, the preferred hotel reservation partner of MobileHCI 2008. We found that booking.com offers the widest selection of hotels in Amsterdam, at very sharp rates.
You can compare and book hotels near the conference venue by clicking on the logo above. Most of the hotels listed there are conveniently located between the conference venue ("Tropenmuseum" in the booking.com system) and the city centre; walking times and walking distances to the conference venue are shown in the table further below. For a wider selection of hotels, you can increase the value in the distance box. Please modify the check-in and check-out date to match your personal travel schedule before you book.
If you book a hotel further away from the conference venue, we recommend booking a hotel within walking distance from stops on tram line 9, 10 or 14: these lines will provide you direct trip to Alexanderplein, the tram stop in front of the conference venue.
